Elisabeth Mauvaisair (b. 1997, Montréal) is a self-taught photographer and an artist based in Chibougamau, in Eeyou Istchee Baie-James, northern Québec. She has been making black-and-white self-portraits since she was eighteen, working alone and often outdoors.
She grew up between Montréal, Saguenay, and Chibougamau, where she returned in 2024. Introduced to film photography as a child, she later taught herself to use digital cameras passed down to her. Alongside her self-portraits, she photographs other people, works with film, and writes poetry. She has sold her prints independently and through a pop-up exhibition she organized.
